Though the mantra of hands faces will certainly continue to be a component of our program, it's clear that confidence is building and more face-to-face connections are being made. Rotary is changing. As we move into this summer and the uncertainty regarding how Rotary can give the same kind of connection which Rotary members experienced in the in the past persists. While the "hands looking outwards" principle is certain to become a daily routines in our club it is clear that there is a feeling of trust is developing, and more people have been able to make connections face-to-face. Rotary, however, has evolved. Rotary networks help to build long-lasting friendships. The outbreak has forced us to enhance our technology methods. Our business remains on the internet, while introducing a new volunteer and social activities. We've embraced the newest opportunities, and have combined these with our habits for preventing pandemics to provide an exciting new direction for Rotary! Amanda Watkin - General Secretary's Column in Rotary Magazine In the last Rotary survey, it was encouraging to see that around 75 percent of clubs are organizing their business as usual' initiatives and programs that have previously benefitted communities throughout the countries of Great Britain and Ireland. It's wonderful to learn that the Rotary Support Centre team is able to provide valuable resources which help with the development and maintenance of infrastructure and keeping members and the general public protected. Compliance and insurance are equally important. It is incredible to see how members of our club are able to come up with creative ways to solve certain of the most challenging challenges. I am so thankful for the fact that Rotary offered me the opportunity to join the club in 2002. Rotary has given me a dependable network with like-minded people which has led to the development of genuine friendships. We should now be sharing Rotary and invite our family members and friends to become part of this amazing world-wide network in which you truly are able to make a difference.
